Happy Aloha Wednesday! I hope 2023 treated you well and you all stayed safe and healthy! Tax season 2023 officially started on Monday January 29th, but I will not be starting till tomorrow February 1st. I will give IRS a couple days to have their system up and running to the best of their ability lol. Just to let you all know, I will be back in Hawaii from February 13th till March 6th. Unfortunately, since it will be a shorter trip, I will not be doing any face to face sit downs again. I will however meet up with you for pick ups and drop offs. If you prefer, instead of meeting up, you can still email me all your docs. Whatever you feel is easier for you.

Place for drop offs and pick ups is still to be determined, I will let you know. Please feel free to call, text, or message me if you have any questions. Please stay safe!

Also, I know that having more clients is good but for this year again, I will no longer be taking any new clients that's not referrals from good friends or family. Sorry, just trying to be safe with all those scams and weird people now days lol.

Happy Aloha Saturday! I hope 2022 treated you well and you all stayed safe and healthy! Tax season 2022 officially starts on Monday January 23rd, but I will not be starting till January 25th. I will give IRS a couple days to have their system up and running to the best of their ability lol. Just to let you all know, I will be back in Hawaii from February 15th till March 13th. Unfortunately, I will not be doing any face to face sit downs again. I will however meet up with you for pick ups and drop offs. If you prefer, instead of meeting up, you can still email me all your docs. Whatever you feel is safer and easier for you.

Just a heads up...2022 taxes will be back to pre Covid (2019 tax), meaning Child Tax Credit, Child/Dependent Care Credit etc... will be lower than 2020 and 2021taxes. Therefore, don't be surprised if you get less refund, no refund, end up owing or end up owing more than the previous 2 years. When you pick up, We can discuss what you can do to help you for 2023 taxes.

Happy Aloha Wednesday! I hope 2021 treated you well and you all stayed safe and healthy! Tax season 2021 has officially started, but I will not be starting till next week. Last year I started the day IRS started accepting returns and for some reason, some of my clients refunds was either delayed or never received as of this day (IRS, is still behind from last year's tax filing), I want to wait till their system is up and running to the best of their ability lol. Just to let you all know, I will be back in Hawaii from February 15th till March 15th. Unfortunately, due to all the Covid restrictions and the health and safety of you and I, I will not be doing any face to face sit downs again. I will however meet up with you for pick ups and drop offs. If you prefer, instead of meeting up, you can still email me all your docs. Whatever you feel is safer for you. For this year, if you received stimulus payment in 2021 ($1400/person) and/or Advance Child Tax Credit, please let me know the amount you received (or if you didn't receive) IRS should have sent letters to those that received these payments, so please include it with your documents. Place for drop offs and pick ups is still to be determined, I will let you know. Please feel free to call, text, or message me if you have any questions. Please stay safe!

Good morning everyone! Sooooo after reading the updates on State of Hawaii Department of Taxation website, it looks like they will NOT know if the federal provisions on unemployment will be adopted until AFTER legislative sessions adjourn on 04/29. With that being said I am giving my clients options.

FOR THOSE THAT OWE:
1. File a 6 month extension: We do your taxes as if State of Hawaii DID NOT adopt the unemployment exemption. Send in payment on what your ESTIMATED payment would be (if you owe) with automatic extension to file?

OR

2. Do your taxes as if State of Hawaii DID NOT adopt the unemployment exemption, and just send your taxes electronically, pay what you owe (if you owe) and amend your taxes AFTER State of Hawaii make a decision on the unemployment exemption bill.

FOR THOSE THAT ARE GETTING A REFUND:

1. If you are getting a refund after putting your unemployment in as if the state DID NOT adopt the unemployment exemption, we can either do an automatic 6 month extension (no penalty or interest if getting a refund) and wait for the state to make their decision.

OR

2. Just send in your taxes, get your refund (if you are getting one) and do an amended after the state make their decision.

Lol what a year 2020 was and still is!!

Update: Since all of my clients already know where I was last year, and so you all don't need to try and find my office again lol, I will be back in Waipahu at Waipahu Lawn and Equipment. So don't forget to text, message, or call me to set your appointments. I will be taking appointments Monday - Saturday's from 10am to 5pm (time slots are filling up) February 10th till March 10th. For the safety of myself and my clients, I will no longer stay at my office late (the area is fairly safe though lol). Sorry for the inconvenience. Mahalo and see you all soon!

Happy New Year! I hope 2019 was good to all of you and may 2020 be better! Just a FYI, I will be back on the island and will be taking appointments from Feb 10th till March 10th. 2018 Tax Season is officially over! This was the second year I commuted back and forth between Las Vegas and Hawaii, but this year, I only stayed for about 3 weeks, and it was very fast paced, but we did it! Yes, I will be back in Hawaii next year, but I will make sure to stay at least 6 weeks lol. I will keep everyone updated when I will be there. I would like to Thank all of you for trusting in me to complete your taxes AGAIN! Thank you to those who referred me to your family and friends! It was nice meeting new friends and family, as well as seeing my old ones! Much mahalos to Waipahu Lawn and Equipment for letting me use their office this year! Thank you Terrence and staff for all you guys did for me! I really appreciate it! Big Thank you to my mom Sheila for helping me again this year, you were a really big help! Again, Thank you everyone!! If anybody have questions, remember I am still available during non tax season!

The time has moved faster than I expected. I will be leaving Sunday morning to Vegas to help clients with their taxes. Thank you all for your patience while I still work on drop offs. Juggling appointments and drop offs in little under a month has been a bit overwhelming BUT I love doing what I do for all of you, so I don't mind it at all.
