This is the second to last day of my financial challenge. Go back and start-over if you didn't. This will change your life
Day 13 - Plan Ahead Challenge
Here’s to thinking outside the box. Consider a Financial Date Night. If you have a partner, schedule a "money date" to discuss finances openly and align goals. In most relationships, one person is the saver while the other is the spender.
If this is true in your situation, come to a middle ground where you can agree on the amount that you are both comfortable to spend monthly on non-essentials. Financial issues have been one of the prime causes of divorce, so do set some time aside to address your concerns.
And we near the end of our challenge, let's talk about giving. While it might seem counterintuitive when focusing on personal finances, giving - whether to charity or helping family and friends - can bring a sense of purpose to your financial journey.
Consider setting aside a small portion of your income for giving. This can also potentially provide tax benefits, depending on your situation.
