🌟 Meet Linda – Accounting Department Manager at Claire’s Tax Service

Linda is one of our Accounting Department Managers and has been a part of the Claire’s Tax Service family for years. She started right here in our Florida office and now supports our team remotely from her home office in Georgia — proving distance doesn’t stop her from keeping everything in perfect balance.

She’s an incredibly talented accountant with a true gift for her craft — if there’s a set of books that needs untangling, Linda is the one who can figure it out. Her experience and problem-solving skills make her an essential part of our team and a trusted resource for both clients and staff.

📸 And yes — if her picture looks a little grainy, it’s because this is exactly how we usually see her… on our computer screens keeping us all in line from afar 😉

Outside of work, Linda is a huge Harry Potter fan ⚡ and makes it a tradition to visit Harry Potter World each year with her kids to celebrate their shared birthday month. She also loves to travel and considers herself a full-on foodie — with ramen high on her list of favorites 🍜

Who better to kick off our "Meet the team" series then our fearless leader, Clare?

Or as we affectionately refer to her at Claire's Tax Service as "Boss Lady"

Clare’s journey started across the pond 🇬🇧, where she qualified as the equivalent of a CPA in England and worked in international finance helping U.S. companies expand into Europe.

In 2004, she made the move to the U.S. for snowy adventures… but somehow landed in sunny Florida instead ☀️ — and found her true passion in U.S. taxation.

Today, Clare is an Enrolled Agent (licensed by the U.S. Treasury) and the heart behind Claire’s Tax Service. She loves helping small business owners take the stress out of taxes so they can focus on growing what they’ve built.

She enjoys traveling, skiing, spending time with her Husband, kids, and grand children.

“What’s in a name?” 🤔 We’re aware that Shakespeare probably wasn’t talking about tax offices, but here we are…..

Yes, it’s CLAIRE’S Tax Service…
And yes, CLARE (the human, the boss, the actual accountant) spells her name C-L-A-R-E.

So what gives with the name drama, you ask? 🎭

Before Clare Garaty took over the business over a decade ago, it was owned by another lovely lady named Claire—same name, different spelling. By the time the business changed hands, Claire’s Tax Service was already well known in the community. Changing the name would’ve caused more confusion than a Shakespeare plot twist.

So we kept it.
Different spelling. Same dedication. Same great service.

A Clare by any other spelling would still prepare your taxes just as sweet. 😉

Call it Claire’s. Call her Clare. Either way, call us for all of your tax accounting needs!
