Join Mud Gallery on Saturday, September 5th to create a decorative pinch-pot pumpkin out of stoneware clay! 🎃 This pottery playshop starts at 1:00 pm and includes a hand-building & decorating demonstration and assistance to create a stoneware pumpkin. This playshop is 10% off the regular price at $63!

Primitive Mud Pottery will finish your piece for you. It will be ready to pick up in about 3-4 weeks, or they can ship it to you at cost if you are visiting from out of town!

On Friday, September 4th, our members at Fathom invite you to take a stroll in Downtown Lancaster from 4:00–8:00 pm to enjoy and support local artists during the monthly First Friday Gallery Hop. Pop-up artists are featured at several downtown businesses. 🎨

It's time for the 4th annual "Bourbon at Sherman's" fundraiser!

On Friday, September 11th at 6:00 pm, join the Fairfield County Heritage Association in the beautiful gardens of the Sherman House Museum for an unforgettable evening of bourbon tasting, curated by Matt Brady and Matt Claypool. Guests will also enjoy cocktails, food, and music while supporting local history in one of Lancaster’s most iconic historic settings.

The evening will also feature both a silent and live auction of unique, bourbon-themed items, including exclusive, one-of-a-kind creations by the Sherman House’s own irreverent director, Michael Johnson.

Don’t miss your chance to sip, bid, and support history.

Proceeds benefit the Sherman House, Georgian Museum, and FCHA. FCHA is a 501c3 and does not receive any local, state, or federal tax dollars. They rely solely on you to help preserve local history and these two amazing museums!

250 Plates is only one month away! 🍽

Join us on Sunday, September 27th from 5:00-8:00 pm at The Mill Event Center for a community meal supporting Fairfield County food pantries, Keller Market House, and Destination Downtown Lancaster.

Enjoy a delicious menu of locally sourced dishes prepared by downtown Lancaster chefs, plus a cash bar featuring local drink specials and live music throughout the evening.

Since 2019, 250 Plates has raised over $115,000 to support vital community organizations. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with neighbors while supporting an important cause!

Tickets are $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of eight. There's a limited quantity left, so don't wait!

New month, new book for Double Edge Brewing Co.'s Book Club!

On Sunday, August 30th at 1:00 pm, they're diving into their fantasy pick: The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. This book is available for free download on the Libby app and Hoopla (through the Fairfield County District Library).

📖 No stress if you didn’t finish the book — listening and chatting totally count.
🗳 For August's meeting, bring a horror pick for October, and they'll put it up for a vote.
🍺 As always, they've got beer, cider, seltzers, and non-alcoholic drinks & mocktails. Zero pressure to drink—just come as you are.
🍲Schmidt's food truck will be on the patio from 12-8 pm. Not feeling Schmidt's? Feel free to bring your own food!

This club is open to anyone 16+ and is all about being welcoming, relaxed, and meeting new people. At Double Edge, they're about Building Community, Brewing Tradition, and this is one of their favorite ways to do it.
