We are seeking a part-time staff accountant to report to our Rockville-based client on Monday's & Thursday's 10 am - 6 pm.

Responsibilities

Record cash receipts
Process vendor payments
Reconcile bank statements & transactions
Adjusting entries
Financial reporting
Organize, and file records
Maintain audit schedules
Interact with treasurer, officers and external Auditors
Related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and has a solid understanding of the full accounting cycle.

Must have excellent organizational and communication skills. Previous experience working with a variety of businesses would be very helpful.

Minimum Requirements

Associates degree in accounting
QuickBooks Desktop and Online experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Employers: it’s important you correctly determine whether your workers are employees or independent contractors.
