Issues that cut across so many boundaries in a person's life, such as financial strain, demand a response. We believe, first and foremost, in compassion in the face of human suffering. We believe in

professionalism and accountability. We believe that deep down most people would rather not be in financial strain but don’t always know how to overcome it. We believe that insurance and financial institutions have stacked the deck against people with fewer resources trying to get ahead. We believe in partnering with churches, like-minded community organizations and families to reach hurting people through professional financial counseling and planning. We believe that financial planning can occur without having to sell financial products. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving individuals and families without regard for the ability to pay. We still have room on Wednesdays at 7pm for Integrating Faith and Money, a review of what the Bible says about stewardship and money. We had excellent feedback after our first session last night!

• What does Jesus say about tithing?
• When it feels like Biblical commands collide...
• What is stewardship?
• See how God uses debt in miracles.
• Does God care how we handle money?
• Is our faith affected by our stewardship and financial decisions?

Let’s talk missionary and clergy care for a moment. Missionary care is an emerging field focusing on building resiliency among missionaries. Yes, it is a calling. However, we must face reality that missionaries and clergy encounter unique trials. We focus on providing financial counseling and planning for missionaries and clergy. This begins in the early stages of preparing to go into the field, and we provide financial counseling and planning for missionaries and clergy facing challenges once in the field.

Lest you think we’re off our rocker, the Resilient Missionary Study which surveyed almost 900 missionaries from 41 nations found financial pressures to be one of the three most common reason for missionaries to leave the field early.

A George Barna survey recently showed that 38% of pastors have thought about quitting recently. This data is fresh, and financial pressure is cited as one of the reasons.

Both of these surveys demonstrate handily that financial planning tailored to missionaries and clergy is a great need. Zacchaeus Financial Counseling is providing financial planning services to clergy and missionaries, and the need is ever growing.

Ignoring this need is unwise, unhealthy and counter-productive.

Someone you know likely needs help too. In this season of giving, can you give them a fresh outlook? We welcome referrals and want to see our missionaries and clergy remain in the field.

Recent data collected from Barna’s pastor poll indicate U.S. pastors are in crisis, with many at risk of burnout and considering resigning from ministry.

In the last couple weeks, two separate studies have been published which reached essentially the same conclusion. Probe Ministries found that only 16% of self-identifying Christians have a Biblical view of God. George Barna reached essentially the same conclusion in a separate study. Barna's study went further to say that this means only 6% of people nationwide have a Biblical view of God.

In whatever way these studies strike you, what really matters is that you are open to a check-up on your beliefs.

Zacchaeus Financial Counseling has created a Bible study on stewardship and money that teaches a Biblical view of God through the lens of stewardship and money.

We would love to have you join us! As a bonus, you will receive a free consultation after signing up.

Will God act on your behalf if you are not leaving room for Him to work? Will God show up in your life if you are not looking for Him? The miracles of 1 Kings 17, 2 Kings 4:1-7 and even in the exodus teach us that we have to be involved in the work…
