Happy Tax Day! We hope your filing season wasn’t too “ruff” this year. As a reminder, the IRS won’t accept excuses, but they do accept extensions.

With tax day quickly approaching, we wanted to share a timely tax season reminder about filing extensions.

Filing IRS Form 4868 gives you until October 15, 2026, to submit your federal return. Just remember: If you owe taxes, payment is still due by April 15th to avoid any added fees.

There’s no penalty for requesting an extension and filing late, so it’s best to take the time you need to make sure your return is filed properly.
