So there is a new IRS scam.
Thieves first steal your identity and file a fake tax return. They have the refund deposited in your real bank account. Then they call you and either tell you they are IRS or a debt collection agency and need it back, with much threatening and such to scare you into doing it.
Don't. Just don't.
If a tax refund shows up that is not yours, the bank can handle returning it to the IRS and you need to call the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040
