Birthday celebrations do not have to break the bank!
One simple birthday tradition I started years ago was baking my family members their birthday cakes. They get to choose the cake they want.
Yesterday was my husband’s birthday and he decided he wanted an old favorite- Chocolate Fudge.
I ran to the store after work yesterday and picked up the ingredients I still needed. You can’t beat a homemade cake for $11.55!
Do you bake cakes for your people on their birthdays? If not, why not try it this year and save some $$!

I just finished wrapping up November’s finances. If you’re curious, this process involves balancing my “checkbook”, getting it current to today’s date, checking off transactions on last month’s budget calendar, and finally, looking for spending patterns. It takes a little time, usually about half an hour, but it’s so worth the peace of mind that follows😊.

November budget win: We came in $63 UNDER our grocery budget for the first time in probably two years!! This is a HUGE win 🏆 in my book.

Hi my friends!
I haven’t forgotten about you or this page. I’m just as committed to spreading and advocating for as much as possible.
To be transparent, life has sucked lately. My family is dealing with some BIG changes, so my energy is being spent navigating, well…life.
I’m hopeful to one day share more details, but for now, just know that I will be back in the future when life has leveled out a bit. Thanks for your understanding!
