*** Beginning Monday, April 7th - Highway 16 will be under construction for most of summer from La Crosse Street to Kinney Coulee Road — which is just before the Blaine’s Farm & Fleet entrance.
The Wisconsin DOT says Highway 16 will only be open to northbound traffic, while it works on the La Crosse River bridges. Southbound traffic will be detoured along US 53 and I-90.
Once that’s complete, the highway will be open to one-lane traffic in each direction, as crews work on the intersection***

Injunction lifted; FinCEN extends most BOI deadlines to Jan. 13
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday granted a Justice Department motion to lift an injunction imposed by a district court ruling. Hours later, FinCEN announced, in light of the court decision, that the Jan. 1, 2025, reporting deadline was extended to Jan. 13 for most reporting companies.
