Wow! End of October already. This is the time of year I can finally catch up on all my shredding and filing. It is also an important time for tax planning. My clients know I’ll be contacting them within the next few weeks to go over this years numbers. Do they need to make that last estimated tax payment? Do they need to prepare for additional tax? What can they do to reduce their tax liability? Is this the year we switch from LLC to S-Corp? Yes, I may have a little more time to shred and file, but there is always one more thing to do on my list. See ya’ll soon! 😉

We can all take a nice deep breath and relax now. Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia all extended their tax deadlines to coincide with the July 15th Federal tax deadline. Hallelujah!!

Don’t be afraid to have your taxes done because you have to go out into the public. I can do your taxes and you and I never have to leave our homes. You can scan and e-mail me your information. Or, you can take pictures with your phone and send to me. Or, snail mail works. Technology is GREAT...... use it and stay out of the public.🤓

REMINDER: W-2’s and 1099’s must be postmarked by January 31st, 2020. W-2’s, along with your W-3 can be completed “Free” online at “Business Services Online”. This is the Social Security website. 1099 and the accompanying 1096 forms are “Free of Charge” and mailed directly to you through IRS.GOV. Free is good!!!!!

September 15th - Partnership and S Corp tax returns final extension deadline. October 15th - Individual tax returns final extension due date. All taxes must be filed by these dates to avoid any interest and penalties.
