As we enter into tax season there are a lot of factors that need to be considered. As a tax preparer we are held accountable for not only advising but informing and being honest.

AS a client you are held accountable as well. You are more accountable because it’s your money. There are alot of people that want the highest refund at any cost. Times have changed, RECEIVING the highest refund ILLEGALLY isnt always safe. RECEIVING the highest refund ILLEGALLY isnt always smart.

Start understanding your taxes, set a goal if you desire a certain amount. Understand what you need to do throughout the year to reach that goal. AUDITS ARE REAL…. And every tax office has clients that are audited. EVERY! We assist our clients because no one is exempt from an audit when your return consists of more than a w2 and earned income. Knowledge is key!

Some audits you cant escape. If you’re claiming other people kids, fake income, false credits, etc….. YOU WILL PAY THE MONEY BACK. Stop being desperate during tax season. Learn about your tax situation and make it work for you.

Can you do your own taxes? Yes you can. Are you missing any additional money, who knows? Some returns are just basic, the return consist of income within a certain tax bracket and the children. Simple, nothing hard to do, BASIC!

Others have unique situations that require a tax professional with knowledge beyond just being able to read. Everyone has different tax situations.

📌 The IRS will officially begin accepting tax returns on Monday January 26th. Be sure that you have all tax documents prior to filing to prevent delays.

📌 If you already have all of your tax documents, you can beat the crowd by filing before the official date. Returns will be submitted on the day you filed and accepted on the day the IRS goes live.

📌 The PATH ACT is still in place, which means that returns that have the Earned Income Credit and Child Tax Credit will be accepted, but processed mid-late February.

📌 With the PATH ACT in place, a refund advance is a great option to receive a portion of your refund.

W2s are rolling in!

Remember the PATH ACT is still in place....

What does that mean? Tax returns that have the Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit will be held until Mid February.

This gives the IRS more time to receive all documents from employers and to verify accuracy of returns.

If you need money now, you can file your taxes and receive a same day refund advance! This will allow you to receive a portion of your refund until the IRS process your return in February.
