For years, uncertainty surrounded estate planning. Now there's clarity - and an opportunity worth paying attention to.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act increased the federal gift and estate tax exemption to $15 million per individual ($30 million for married couples) for 2026, with no expiration date. This provides more estate planning certainty - but not complete certainty. Lawmakers could still reduce the exemption in the
future.

That's why, if you have assets you want to pass on to loved ones - whether it's a business, real estate, investments, or savings - transferring them sooner rather than later can lock in tax savings should the exemption be reduced down the road.

You don't have to have a $15 million estate for this to matter. You just need a plan.

We recently celebrated the finale of 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺. 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 — and all our teams did an outstanding job keeping the competition tight.

Yesterday we took a moment to say thank you—really, truly thank you—to the administrative professionals who make Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs run.

Lunch at River and Post, followed by Hyppo ice pops back at the office, made for a wonderful afternoon celebrating the people who truly deserve it most. We don't say it enough: we couldn't do this without you.
