Don't forget! You should ALWAYS request a W9 from every vendor or contractor who provides services to your business. This gives you all of the information you need to issue 1099s at the end of the year.

Tip of the Day!
You need some type of bookkeeping software.
I know QuickBooks might be an additional small expense for new or even more established business owners, but it will help you save many HOURS and some headache when it's time to do your bookkeeping & taxes.
You need to invest in bookkeeping software ASAP so that you can run your business more efficiently! 💰📊

You should open a separate business checking account as soon as you start a new business 👍
Maintain clear financial boundaries by opening a separate business checking account.
This simple step not only helps you track business transactions accurately but also demonstrates professionalism to clients and simplifies tax reporting
(Not to mention not separating your business with personal violates the GAA Principle of "Economic Entity Assumption" - basically a boring accounting term that means it is hard to prove your business is a separate being from you for legal purposes; but most importantly it will make your accountant very unhappy and no one wants that 😁)
And lastly, keeping personal and business funds distinct ensures a smoother bookkeeping process 👏👏
