For those of you who had unemployment and filed early this year, the IRS will AUTOMATICALLY send you a refund. You do not have to file an amendment to claim the first $10,200 of unemployment compensation as non-taxable.

The service intends to take steps to automatically refund money starting in May and continuing through the summer.
