When planning a getaway, you’re looking to relax and enjoy a break from the stress of everyday life. The last thing you want to worry about is what happens if things go wrong during your trip. Thankfully, you can count on your home and car insurance to protect you even when you’re away. Here are a few ways your home and auto insurance protect you when you’re traveling:

1. Roadside Assistance
While hitting the open road is a great adventure, sometimes breakdowns happen. Your auto insurance may provide you with emergency road service coverage, which can reimburse you for towing expenses, delivery of fuel, repair parts and labor charges.

2. Car insurance coverage for other drivers
Sharing driving duty with others on a road trip? Rest assured, if you give other licensed drivers permission to use your car, they are usually covered. This includes teens with learner’s permits!

3. Rental car insurance coverage
You might be wondering, “does my car insurance cover rental cars?” Generally, your auto policy should apply to the rental vehicle as long as you are driving within the United States (including your deductible). Always read the contract carefully and ask the rental agent to explain anything if you’re unsure.

Additionally, you can add vehicle rental and trip interruption coverage to your auto insurance to provide coverage for a rental vehicle if you have an accident away from home. With this protection, you may be reimbursed for a rental car if you have a covered claim, and if you have an accident more than 100 miles from home, you could also apply this coverage to travel expenses like transportation, lodging and meals. Expense limits differ by state, so talk to your insurance representative about the types of coverage available where you live.

4. Insurance coverage at a hotel or vacation home rental
If you are the victim of theft while you’re renting a vacation home or staying in a hotel, you may have coverage through your home insurance for your personal property. If you accidentally cause damage to the property you're staying in, you may have liability coverage as well.

In a world filled with constant change, we shouldn’t be surprised that things offering stability and consistency are appealing. That is one thing you can count on with the right permanent life insurance policy – dependable insurance that is there when you need it. Here’s what this insurance offers:

Death benefit protection - The ability to have death benefit protection that you can’t outlive. Many permanent policies may allow for that death benefit to grow over time, depending on how the policy is configured.

Predictable or flexible premiums - The ability to have a predictable premium experience for whole life policies that can be “locked in” if desired. Some policies may allow you to have limited premium payment periods while supporting long-term protection. Indexed universal life policies allow for flexible premiums.

Favorable cash value access - The ability to have policy cash values growing under tax-favored conditions. When structured properly, cash values grow without annual taxation and allow the tax-free access of those accumulated values in future years.

We absolutely 💚💚💚 our educators! 👩‍🏫

Today and Tuesday our MVP staff were treated chair massages by Sedona's Day Spa & Float Tanks!! 💆🏻‍♀️

With our transition from our main fundraiser being in the spring, rather than the fall, for next year we have been working on stretching our budget to cover the rest of this year and the first half of next year. Because of this, we thought we would not be able to bring back the staff favorite chair massages for teacher appreciation week this year.

But! With the help of our amazing community partner, Gretchen Schrock- Country Financial, we were able to still make them happen!! Gretchen was so generous to cover half of the cost of the chair massages as a gift to our Whittier Elementary School staff to show her appreciation!! 🤩

We are so very thankful for this partnership! It means so much to our staff to be able to step away from their loud, crazy, busy day for a few minutes of peace and relaxation! These staff pour so much into our students everyday that it means so much to be able to take care of them too!

And not only did Gretchen help us make these chair massages happen, she also offers special offers and discounts to teachers!! We are incredibly lucky to have such amazing and supportive community partners in Indianola who support our local schools and teachers so generously!!
