Once again this coming tax season returns with Earned Income Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit and/or the refundable American Opportunity Credit will not be released by the IRS until 2/15. This is a mandate from Congress not the IRS or tax preparers.

Filing tax returns by identity thieves is a big problem. We have already had a couple of individuals here whose identity was used to file fraudulent return. If you preparer is not confirming everyone's ID on your tax return......think about going somewhere else. We check id for everyone on every return.
