My goal is to help you control as much of your own money as possible so that you can divert more time and resources to the things that are truly important to you. If you’re driven by out-of-the-box ideas and have an e

ntrepreneurial spirit, we’ll be a great fit. I don’t just aim to run you through the typical steps–I want to help you devise a financial strategy as unique as you are. Together, we’ll discover what makes you tick, and build out around your personal goals and circumstances. All along the way, we’ll track how you’re doing, and adjust as necessary. Boldly choose to live life on your terms, following the wealthy few instead of the masses.

I am looking for a part-time person to work remotely and help with some administration tasks.

This person needs to have customer service skills, must be proficient in using a computer, should have familiarity with Outlook, and will need to be able to think critically. The position requires working with my current team in a supportive role, with the ability to jump in and take on more responsibility from time to time.

Pay and hours are negotiable.

If you know anyone who would be interested or who may be a good fit, please message me.

It's Gratitude Monday! Today I just really want to say how grateful I am for my husband and especially the work that he has been doing to make our farm into a new home. I think he would say that he is a "jack of all trades", but the reality of it is that any project that he undertakes, he masters - on his own, teaching himself and learning as he goes. I am amazed by how his brain works when there is a project that seems impossible, yet he makes it work AND he makes it look like it was professionally done. I have seen him take our farm and turn it into a nature lover's paradise, I have seen him build a chicken coop from the roof down (really), I have watched him build a barn, a tool shed, a wood shed and Cadillac deer stands. One of those deer stands stood solidly for over 20 years and even when a giant cherry tree fell on it, it did not fall down! I have watched him work his tail off on our new house, fixing flaws and mistakes that others made, figuring out how to make the impossible possible, preparing it for us to live in. Most of what he does is never seen, but when Mike does a job, it is done well. Nobody has to come in behind him and fix it.

I am grateful for all he does that nobody sees. I am grateful for his attention to detail. I am grateful for his creativity and his artistry. Most of all, I am grateful to have him as my husband!

It's Gratitude Monday again!

This past weekend was tough. Saying goodbye to our pup was hard and has definitely left a void in our home and our hearts.

I spent a lot of time these past few days thinking about the impact that Rascal had in our lives. My thoughts then naturally turned to many others who I have had to say goodbye to and how much some of those goodbye's still hurt, even years (or decades) later.

What struck me though was that with all of them, I was, and still am, so grateful for all that they ADDED to my life. And so today, I am grateful that I have been blessed to have had so many good people and pets in my life. I am grateful for the joy, humor, love, and knowledge that each of them have so selflessly shared with me. I hope that I can - and that I do the same for others.

It's Gratitude Monday! I am so grateful for my parents and the foundation for life that they provided to me and my sister.
I attribute my love of learning and reading, and my genuine curiosity to my parents. They encouraged me and my sister to play and explore, they read to us and bought the whole set of Encyclopedia Britannica, often looking stuff up with us. We had a world globe that we would take turns spinning to see what country we landed on and then we would see what continent it was on.
They took us to see Starlight Muscials at Butler, they played classical music, along with the music of the times. We experimented with different foods and learned about different cultures. My mom taught us some basic French, which sparked an interest in learning other languages and probably the catalyst for both me and my sister becoming high school exchange students.
They encouraged us to think critically and to ask questions (I am sure there were times when I was a teenager that they regretted this!).
My parents were "yes" parents. They did tell us "no", but I think they always looked for ways to tell us "yes" when it came to learning and expanding our horizons.
I am super grateful for the sacrifices that my parents made to ensure that I got a solid foundation.

It's Gratitude Monday! I am grateful for the "littles" in my life, Kylie, Jackson, Bennet, Harper and Hailey, and the "not so littles" anymore, Derek and Adam! It's fun watching all of you grow, learn, and develop your unique personalities. I love you all!

Happy Gratitude Monday! America is the greatest country in the world. Today is Veterans Day and I am grateful for all the veterans who have served this country. Thank you for your service, thank you for your selflessness.
A special thanks to my dads - Bill, Nick, and Bob, all of whom served in different ways and at different times. We love you and are grateful for the gift of your service.
I also want to give a shout out to Honor Flight, an organization that continues to honor and celebrate all veterans by inviting them to "share in a day of honor at our nation's memorials". This organization does a fantastic job of carrying out their mission.

It's Gratitude Monday and today I am grateful to live in this country where limitless possibility still reigns, where we can think, discuss, and question norms and narratives!

I had a client ask me about cashing out a 401k from an old job. This client is mid-30's with a family. The 401k was started, as with most people, as a way to save for retirement. But this person's goals and desires are fluid and there is an investment opportunity that he could not have imagined a few years ago. Unfortunately, this account is not liquid and he is now going to be penalized if he decides to pull the money out and use it for an investment that is a better fit for him and his family.

I want my clients to have a solid financial foundation. I want them to be able control as much of their own money as they can. Having liquidity is vital to a strong financial foundation. While 401k's serve a purpose, there are strings attached and if you are under the age of 59.5, they are definitely not liquid!

Did you know that the average days of liquidity (cash) that a business has on hand is only 27 days? Businesses need capital, but where they keep that capital is just as important as having it.

We all are in two businesses, the business that generates our livelihood and the business of banking. Unfortunately, most of us have been taught to outsource the business of banking. What does that outsourcing cost us over the course of our lifetimes?

If you are not in control, you are not free.
