Dear Tax Payers,

𝗧𝗔𝗫 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 🤑 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 👇🏽

𝟏. Make sure you are paying your Federal and State Taxes if your state requires it. Yeah, I know you thought going exempt six months we’re cool but, wrap it up by the middle of this month. I don’t want to hear any excuses come January.

✔️ Check them paystubs to make sure Federal and State taxes are coming out. Social Security & Medicare automatically withdraws. (If you are a client of Innovative Tax Services and is unsure of the amount of taxes you should be paying or if you’re worried about under paying, give me a call to discuss).

𝟐. 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 make sure you are either paying quarterly taxes or have your funds set aside to pay at the end of the year if you typically owe the IRS. Please, don’t come in my office expecting a refund if you’re running a business and made profits and haven’t paid. Especially, if you’re single with no dependents‼️

✔️ Oh and start getting them business income documents and expenses in order now!! 😉

𝟑. If you are subject to receive a 1099 instead of a W2 from your employer, #𝟐 apply to you as well. Make sure you have all of your income and expenses gathered, that you may have. If payment for services you provided is listed on Form 1099-NEC, Nonemployee Compensation, your employer is treating you as a self employed worker, also referred to as an Independent Contractor. This mean you can write off expenses since you’re treated as self employed for the position which you are working.
