Week of January 12th: Tuesday - Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm
Week of January 19th: Tuesday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm

The IRS has assigned January 27th, 2026 as the beginning of the 2025 tax filing year. We will begin scheduling appointments for new and current clients Week of January 16th.

We highly recommend scheduling as soon as possible as we expect an increase in scheduled appointments this year with all of the new changes related to the One Big Beautiful Bill that was passed by Congress in 2025. Many changes went into effect for the 2025 tax year and may impact your tax preparation.

👉NEW THIS YEAR AT THE OFFICE
⭐️Our wonderful Friend and Office Manager Pam has decided to retire to spend more time with family. We wish Pam well and will miss her terribly. 🥰
🔥We have a NEW Office Manager to introduce. Lee is a well-known former Real Estate Agent from Northern Kentucky. She is a 1985 Scott High School Graduate as well as a 1989 NKU graduate with a BA in Communications. We are lucky to have her on our team! WELCOME LEE!! 🩷
🫶Thankfully, Sister Kim will be returning as well to continue running the office on Saturdays and to assist during our super busy times!

📢We've updated some things on the outside of our building!
Our water main out front was replaced and internal lines all updated.
A new beautiful awning as been added with much needed repairs to our facade.
Our parking lot was repaired and resurfaced as well as new lines being painted. We also added a small ramp to make the office more accessible to those needing the assistance of a walker or wheelchair.

✅We will begin accepting payment this year via PayPal!

📌This year there will be a 5% transaction fee for all credit card/electronic payments. Unfortunately these companies continue to increase the cost of doing business. In the past we have tried to spread this additional expense across all clients. However, we've made the decision to move forward with passing this fee onto only those that choose that method of payment.
There is no additional fee for CASH & CHECKS. (unless your check is returned)

We are looking forward to seeing YOU in 2026! 🤓

Don’t let grinchy scammers ruin holiday gift card giving

Taxpayers should be aware of gift card scams year-round but be especially cautious during this time of year when requests for gift cards are common. They may also use a compromised email account to send emails requesting gift card purchases for friends, family or co-workers.
Since 2019, [email protected] has received over 1,000 gift card phishing emails averaging 200 per year. Most of these gift card phishing emails do not reference the IRS.

The IRS never asks for or accepts gift cards as payment for a tax bill.

Common holiday scams

The IRS sees a variety of scams as thieves are always changing their tactics. During the holiday season thieves could also:

Request gift cards over the phone, sending a text message, email or social media message through a government impersonation scam.

Pose as an IRS agent and call the taxpayer or leave a voicemail with a callback number informing the taxpayer that they are linked to some criminal activity.

Threaten or harass the taxpayer by telling them that they must pay a fictitious tax penalty.

Criminals often ask the victim to purchase gift cards from various stores so as not to arouse suspicion with store employees. Once the taxpayer buys the gift cards, the scammer will ask the taxpayer to provide the gift card number and PIN.

How to tell if it's really the IRS calling

Here are some tips on how to tell it’s the IRS calling. Remember the IRS will never:

Call to demand immediate payment using a specific payment method such as a gift card, prepaid debit card or wire transfer. Generally, the IRS will first mail a bill to any taxpayer who owes taxes.

Demand that taxpayers pay taxes without the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they owe. All taxpayers should be aware of their rights.

Threaten to bring in local police, immigration officers or other law enforcement to have the taxpayer arrested for not paying.

Threaten to revoke the taxpayer's driver's license, business licenses or immigration status.

What to do if targeted by a scam
Anyone who has been a target of a scam should contact the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration to report a phone scam. Use the IRS Impersonation Scam Reporting webpage or call 800-366-4484.
