Yates, a seventeen-year industry veteran, is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Wealth Development Strategies, LLC. Wealth Development Strategies was established in 1969 and is one of Houston's oldest comprehensive financial planning firms that offers personalized solutions for individuals and business professionals who wish to protect, grow and efficiently distribute their wea
lth. The boutique firm consists experienced associates who combine extensive financial experience and expertise to effect personalized client solutions. Yates joined the firm bringing leadership experience in the Financial Services Industry from multiple backgrounds. Yates is a 2004 graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Finance. He has led organizations for private, fraternal & publicly traded investment and insurance companies in the Greater Houston Market. His leadership responsibilities include working with the immensely talented teams of licensed financial advisors, full-time employees and interns to ensure that they are utilizing their cumulative experience and expertise to serve their clients as efficiently, and effectively as possible. Yates embodies the same approach of service to his local Houston community as well. Since relocating to Houston, Texas from Virginia in 2008, Mr. Yates has been an extremely active volunteer within the greater Houston area. He is President Emeritus for Project Row Houses, member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP). He is also on the Advancement Committee at River Oaks Baptist School and the Advisory Committee at Valmark Financial Group. Yates has also had many leadership opportunities in the Greater Houston area. Yates licenses include Series 7, 6, 24, 26 and Group 1 Life, Health, Variable Insurance, and Mr. Yates is a certified CFP®. Yates loves spending time with his wife Tiffani, two sons Devaron Jr. and Drew, daughter Mila, and two Yorkshire terrier’s Caesar & Riley. In addition, he also enjoys traveling, reading, and sports.
