Important information :
If you will being doing taxes with me I will be adding my jot form link for you to fill out or you can use the mobile app. It is something new I am doing this year to make things go a lot smoother and faster . You will fill out basic information about your tax situation and an option to sign your name and upload all documents. It will tell you every thing you need and if you are self employed please make sure that you have receipts made if you received cash and any type of cash app , Venmo, Zelle etc for proof of income and add that as well. If you can’t use any of these you can most definitely come in person. We will be doing interview questions on all tax returns this year no exception.

🗣️The IRS has announced that approximately 1 million taxpayers who missed claiming the Recovery Rebate Credit on their 2021 tax returns will receive special payments of up to $1,400 from the IRS. 

✅Eligibility
• Taxpayers who filed a 2021 tax return but either left the Recovery Rebate Credit field blank or entered $0, despite being eligible.

✅Payment Details
• Amount: Up to $1,400 per individual.
• Distribution Method: Payments will be automatically direct deposited into the bank account provided on the taxpayer’s 2023 return or sent via paper check to the address on file.
• Timeline: Payments are being issued in December 2024 and should arrive by late January 2025.
• Notification: The IRS will send separate letters to eligible taxpayers notifying them of the payment.

✅Next Steps for Taxpayers
• No Action Needed: Eligible taxpayers will receive these payments automatically; no additional steps are required.
• Missed Filing: Taxpayers who did not file a 2021 tax return can still claim the Recovery Rebate Credit by filing their return by April 15, 2025.
