March Madness bragging rights are officially settled in the office! 🏀

Todd, Jared, and Maddy all had Michigan winning the big dance-but Jared took it a step further going 4 for 4 in the Final Four picks and had Michigan beating UConn in the finals.

This gave Jared the victory for the office bracket challenge! 🏆

Should you refinance quick!?

Mortgage rates are finally below 6% for the first time in almost 4 years. This could be a good time if you bought within the last 4 years. However there’s some math that goes into it.

We have been working with our clients showing them exactly how much it might cost to refinance and how much it will save them monthly to find a good level for them.

If you’re one of those clients, now might be the time to reach out and explore this further with one of the mortgage lenders we trust.

In one case we’re working on he actually has no closing cost, no additional loan balance, and will still save $200 per month!

Last month we ran a lot of annual reviews. Here are a few things we discussed:

1. Celebrated a retirement and made our plan of applying for Social Security.
2. Maxed several Roth IRAs for both last year and this year.
3. Discussed income changes that pushed clients above Roth income limits and are starting backdoor Roth contributions.
4. Helped a client remove PMI early which cost them $400 and will save them $120 a month for the next 2.5 years netting them $3,200 in savings.
5. Updated beneficiaries for families that had kids.
6. Opened 529s and UTMAs for several kids.
7. Helped 2 clients invest for a house down payment who were gifted money from their Grandma.

There’s more, but it’s so rewarding helping with such a wide variety of things.
