President Biden is expected to sign the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 on Friday. Along with the 3rd stimulus, there are other provisions in the bill. One retroactive provision could affect the taxable amount of unemployment for 2020. If you're under the income threshold, up to $10,200 of unemployed benefits paid in 2020 could be tax free! (for Federal, no word yet if Indiana will follow suit). We will be waiting for guidance from IRS on how/when to proceed with returns that include unemployment. Those that have already filed with unemployment benefits will likely have to amend their returns to receive the additional refunds. We will keep you updated as we receive more information.

A third round of stimulus payments is expected to be on the way later this month.
