FYI... VERY IMPORTANT!!!!
IRS Opening Day for Tax Returns is January 27, 2022 (Be sure to read this to the end) Do NOT be in a hurry to file! You MUST have 1 or 2 letters from the IRS this year if you do NOT want your Refund held up... These letters will be mailed out by the IRS on January 19, 2022. Letter #6475 will tell us exactly what you received in 2021 Stimulus Money... Letter #6419 will tell us exactly what you received in 2021 Advanced Child Tax Credit... You MUST have these in order to file your 2021 Tax Return. If you were to guess at these figures and they are wrong your refund can be held up for approximately 12 months... And I am NOT joking about this!!! There are still people who have not received their 2020 tax refunds. If you do not work in this field you have NO idea the hell it has been this past year and it is forecasted that 2022 is going to be worse!!! Another action that taxpayers can do is to set up an account with the IRS so that you can check on issues personally, especially regarding these letters. Here's how to get started for new users: Select View Your Account at IRS.gov homepage. Select the "Create or View Your Account" button. Click "Create Account"
