🌸 Women’s History Month Honoree 🌸
It is both an honor and a heartfelt privilege to introduce our first honoree of the year, Mrs. Mattie Wilburn Potts — a woman whose legacy continues to live on through the many lives she touched.
Mrs. Potts entered her eternal rest in December 2025, but the impact she made during her lifetime will never fade. With 31 years of dedication to education, she poured her heart into shaping young minds, encouraging her students to believe in themselves and to strive to become the very best versions of who they were meant to be.
To me personally, Mrs. Potts was more than an educator — she was an inspiration. I credit her as one of the people who helped plant the seeds of the entrepreneur I am today. Even after I left her classroom, we remained in touch over the years, and I continued to admire her strength, wisdom, and determination. Through every obstacle she faced, she still found the strength to uplift others and continue advocating for the success of the students who sat in her classroom.
That was simply who she was — a nurturer, a motivator, a fighter, and a woman whose kindness and humanity left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Today, we give Mrs. Mattie Wilburn Potts her flowers. 🌹 We thank her for her unwavering strength, her compassion, and the countless lives she helped shape over the course of her remarkable career.
Her legacy will continue to live on in every student she encouraged, every life she touched, and every dream she helped inspire.
A very special thank you to her husband, Travis Potts, and her children for allowing us the opportunity to honor and celebrate her beautiful legacy. Please continue to keep this family lifted in your hearts and prayers. 💐💕
