Do You Know at what age Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) begin for individuals reaching retirement age?
The correct answer depends on the year you were born! Under current tax laws, if you were born in 1959 or earlier (and haven't started yet), your RMDs begin at age 73. However, if you were born in 1960 or later, your RMD age increases to 75.
Required Minimum Distributions can be one of the most confusing parts of retirement planning, and missing them can result in steep tax penalties. If you are 55 or Better, knowing how RMDs impact your overall tax strategy is vital to preserving your hard-earned wealth.
At MRS Wealth Advisors, we help you plan for these milestones years in advance so you are never caught off guard by the IRS. Let us help you create a coordinated roadmap for your future.
