Here is a link to set up your new individual IRS taxpayer account. You will need to create one if you currently pay your estimates or balances due by paper check. IRS has phased out paper checks. Also note, they will no longer mail paper checks for refunds due the taxpayer. Direct deposit or debit card will be your only options.

Sign in or create an online account. Review the amount you owe, balance for each tax year, payment history, tax records and more.

IR-2025-94, Sept. 23, 2025 — The Internal Revenue Service, working with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, today announced that paper tax refund checks for individual taxpayers will be phased out beginning on Sept. 30, 2025, as required by Executive Order 14247, to the extent permitted by law.
