If you received a Stimulus Payment or the Advanced Child Credit in 2021, the IRS is sending out these notices telling you how much money you received. Save these notices for your taxes. The amounts on the notice must match up with the entries on your tax return or your refund will be held up, possibly for months and months. Some people are still waiting for their 2020 refunds. It's a real mess.
