Hazlet Fire Company No. 1

Hazlet Fire Company No. 1 Hazlet Fire Company No. 1 was Incorporated on June 6, 1910. Our membership has been and remains comprised of 100% volunteer firefighters.

Hazlet Fire Company No. 1 is the longest running provider of emergency services in Hazlet Township, NJ. The time and training required to become a firefighter is extensive. The membership donates their time to the betterment of the community. In 2010 Hazlet Fire Company No. 1 celebrated 100 years of Service. Years ago Hazlet Township instituted the Hazlet Fire District #1. The District is managed

by 5 elected Fire Commissioners and is the employer of the Township Fire Official and the support staff for the office of Fire Prevention. Hazlet Fire Company No.1 is one of 3 fire companies supported through taxes by the district. The other two companies are:

North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company

West Keansburg Fire Company

This measure ensures the volunteer firefighters spend their valuable time in training and fire suppression instead of fund raising. We thank the residents of Hazlet Township for their continued support.
