• Stop adding damages by using a reliable bookkeeping system for future operations.
• Establish an accounting system, ex. accounting software integrating your bank(s) account(s).
• Check your work to identify potential data entry errors and prepare trial balances at the end of each reporting period.
• Build robust month-close processes (balance sheet account reconciliation, check revenue for accuracy, review of all financial statements.
• Be organized: Set up a filing system for receipts, invoices, and other documents so everything is easy to find when needed.
• What about past transactions? Have a professional (internal or external) do a books clean-up!
