After more than a year of waiting due to limited embassy appointments, this sweet grandmother was finally approved for her U.S. tourist visa! She’ll be traveling from the Dominican Republic for the very first time to visit her granddaughter Nicole and celebrate her siblings’ birthdays. ❤️

⚠️ Unique N-400 Case Alert ⚠️

Many applicants believe that having an IRS payment plan automatically protects their naturalization case. Unfortunately, that’s not always true.

Our client had:
✅ A formal IRS payment agreement
✅ Proof of timely payments
✅ Passed the civics/history portion of the N-400 interview

Yet USCIS did not administer the oath that day. After an RFE and additional evidence, the case was ultimately denied.

The next step: appeal the decision with proof that the tax debt has now been paid in full.

Every case is different, and even strong cases can face unexpected challenges. If you have tax debt and are applying for U.S. citizenship, make sure you understand how it may impact your case.
