I am writing to let you know that I am presenting at the Illinois Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP) 5th Annual ABC (Autism, Behavioral Challenges, and Complex Medical Needs) Conference which will be held at Moraine Business and Conference Center on Friday, November 21, 2014. My session is entitled How the 2014 Individual Health Policies, in Illinois, Cover the Needs of Children on the Autism Spectrum.

The ABC Conference is a statewide conference that focuses on evidence-based and concrete strategies to address the struggles primary care providers and other healthcare professionals encounter related to Autism, Behavioral Challenges, and Complex Medical Needs (ABC). This year’s conference theme is “Interpersonal Approach to Caring for Children with Special Healthcare Needs” and we are welcoming a broad cross section of child-serving professionals to join us.

ICAAP has created three conference tracks (Autism, Behavioral Challenges, and Complex Medical Needs) with sessions that focus on clinical, home-based, or school and community-based topics so that attendees can build a cohesive continuing education experience that meets their individual learning needs. The conference also includes a line-up of keynote speakers who will deliver new information on current best practices, state policy, and other topics impacting your work.
