Here’s a link to set up Qualified Overtime Tracking on QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop. Businesses will be required to report Qualified OT on 2026 W2s so it needs to be set up correctly now in order to automate it next year.

Please let me know if you need to issue any W2s or 1099s ASAP! I really prefer to have them all done by January 15. I will be contacting the rest of my business clients soon about year end work if I haven’t already. We can’t start efiling individual returns this year until January 26. Thank you!

It’s still not too late to file, but the sooner the better if you owe. Just filing stops the late filing penalty and every little bit you pay helps save interest and late payment penalty. If you’re getting a refund, you lose it after 3 years. You wouldn’t believe how many people just never get around to getting their refunds.

Just a reminder that all fiscal year S-Corp and Partnership returns are due by September 15 if you filed an extension! C-Corp and personal returns are due by October 15!
