A new Federal reporting requirement is now being enforced if you own or are a beneficial owner of 25% or more of a Corporation or a Limited Liability Company. The filing deadline is the end of this year and for new corporations, within 30 days of opening a new corporation. I have included the link for the main page and the frequently asked questions below. The link to file is under the first page. There are a few registration exemptions, but I would assume that the report must be filed for your corporation unless you have consulted with your attorney or CPA.
