This Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to reflect on the people we care for so deeply and who make such a meaningful difference in our lives. We truly could not do what we do without you. I hope you find time this week to rest, reflect and savor wonderful food, with friends and family. 🦃 🧡

During this time of gratitude, our list of blessings is long enough to rival that of Kris Kringle’s, but we want to make sure to take time to honor my ninth great-grandfather, William Bradford. Though a very dedicated friend and client for whom we are eternally grateful for, this year we learned that he not only journeyed aboard the Mayflower but also went on to serve as Governor of Plymouth Colony for three decades. Through his leadership and through the vital partnership he forged with the Wampanoag Natives, the Thanksgiving tradition was born! It seems my ancestors were in Cape Cod, Massachusetts 405 years before I was, and my long love and respect of the Wampanoags now comes as no surprise! Indeed, we have lots to be thankful for.

This month we honor the incredible Jim Fowler from Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom — a man who brought the wild into our homes EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT for our family ritual and taught us to cherish it. Jim passed away in May of 2019, but his spirit still roars in the Harbor Asset team.

We loved him so much. His kindness, curiosity, and passion was contagious — and his smile?
It could light up the entire savannah! 🌅

Here’s to keeping his legacy alive by staying curious, staying kind, a little dancing, and always smiling. 🐾💚🦁

Here’s what we’re cooking up for lunch…free-range chicken piccata, basmati coconut rice, and a whole lot of retirement planning. At Harbor Asset we take our lunches in-house, prepared by our stellar Chef-in-residence, Eugenie. It gives our team unstructured time to connect on the days work, keep an eye on the markets, and fill our bellies with healthy fuel to keep us going into the evening. We especially love it when our client’s dine with us, come on by and let’s do lunch! Bon appetite!
