FROM GARDEN TO TABLE!
LOOKING FOR A DINNER THAT'S DELICIOUS, EASY TO MAKE, AND GOOD FOR YOU? TRY THIS ANTI-INFLAMMATORY RECIPE FOR LEMON BASIL BAKED SALMON.
You'll love this salmon recipe because it is super easy to make (you can whip it up in 15 minutes!), it uses some common ingredients, and it is a breeze to clean up. Salmon is also a great option for anyone with arthritis because its omega-3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation in the body. Be sure to choose wild-caught salmon, not farmed, for the highest nutritional value.
INGREDIENTS:
6 ounces of salmon (4 pieces)
2 lemons
½ cup of butter
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of sweet basil leaf, dried
1 pinch of red pepper flakes
non-stick cooking spray
Lemon Basil Baked Salmon
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lay out four foil sheets (one per piece of fish) and spray each foil sheet with the non-stick cooking spray. Put your salmon on the foil.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, garlic, basil, and red pepper flakes. Microwave the bowl for 30 seconds to one minute until the butter is melted; stir well.
Spoon the butter mixture evenly over the fish. Squeeze about half of a lemon over each filet and lay a slice of lemon over the top. Wrap each in foil (completely enclosed) and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15-17 minutes, until the desired doneness is reached. Then, turn the oven to broil on high and broil for one to two minutes to crisp up the edges of the salmon. Serve immediately. Makes four servings.
