Unfortunately some employer sponsored plans do NOT support this and will make it as a penalty withdrawal. However, you can make an election on you return to avoid the penalty. Did you know having a baby at any point in 2020 entitles you to the additional per child payment from the 2 direct payment stimulus packages? as long as you qualified for the other direct payments, you qualify for this additional refundable credit on your tax return. Make sure when you file your tax return that your tax professional includes this credit!

Did you receive unemployment payments in 2020? Make sure you include this income on your individual income tax return. You will need your 1099-G from the state agency you filed with. You can most likely download the form from the state web portal or you can wait until they send it to your mailbox via USPS.
