A little fun in the bee yards.. was forced to create NUCS to avoid swarming(maybe) either way utilized capped queen cells to create 5 Nucs with donor frames from other hives

Dipped in :
Microcrystalline wax and paraffin wax. On a molecular level the wax penetrates into the wood and bonds with it, the cooking at 325 degrees (10 minute) literally boils the water out of the wood allowing the wax to be pulled in deeper. The benefit is you are waterproofing every surface, every imperfection every nail/screw hole. boxes last substantially longer
Equipment can be dropped off, then picked up when done. I can help load unload but due to the amount of time it takes to “DIP” correctly waiting is not always a viable option on bulk equipment

It’s been a weird winter. Hoping the bees have made it through so far, going to add some supplemental feed for them on next warmer day.
Have plans for 16 new hives in spring, had 10 other nucs fall through, might try a couple nucs from other keepers.
I have a LOT of equipment needing to be assembled, wax dipped as soon as weather breaks. Hopefully setting up a new yard for the 16 new hives.
Still have some honey left
