Job Description:
As a bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
Recording day-to-day financial transactions and maintaining general ledgers of clients.
Reconciling bank statements and accounts payable/receivable. Issuing payroll, filling payroll taxes, filing B&O sales taxes.
Preparing financial reports

Qualifications:

(payroll experience a plus)
Proficiency in relevant bookkeeping software and tools (QuickBooks preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
A proactive mindset and the willingness to take on additional responsibilities

Gig Harbor bookkeeping office looking for 2 part time employees. Hours can be flexible and made to fit around family obligations.

Bookkeeping experience is preferred, but candidate does not have to have bookkeeping experience. They do have to be logical, like working with numbers, up to a challenge and enjoy leaning! The ability to interact with clients and not just sitting behind a computer working with numbers is also a basic need.

One month of ½ daily training is given so that both candidate and company can agree this is the place for them. Starting wages DOE.

Have you heard? Washington state is implementing the WA Cares Fund starting in January.

How this impacts you as an employee:
Beginning in January 2022, Washington workers will pay up to $0.58 per $100 of earnings. This is an employee-side tax (not employer), so starting in January you will see this deduction on your pay stub. If you want to opt-out of the Long-term care plan, you must have your own private LTC policy and complete an application for exemption. More information can be found on the WA Cares Fund website https://wacaresfund.wa.gov/. It is your responsibility to apply for an exemption, and—if approved—to notify your employer and give them a copy of your approval letter from Employment Security Department (ESD). Once approved, exemptions are permanent and employees can never opt back in.

How this impacts you if you are self-employed:
If you are self-employed (this includes members of LLCs but NOT officers of S-Corporations), you can OPT-IN to this plan by completing the application that will be available in January.
