IT'S TAX TIME!!!!!
The IRS has announced today that the 2018 filing season will start on January 29th. No returns will be accepted by the IRS until that date. Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit will not see any refunds deposited until at least February 27, 2018. The tax deadline will be April 17 this year giving taxpayers an additional two days to file.

***It's Tax Time***The IRS has announced that the filing season will begin on January 23rd. and end on April 18, 2017. All returns filed with an attached Earned Income Credit or an Additional Child Care Credit will have the refunds delayed until February 15th. This will be done to enable the IRS to w**d out fraudulently filed returns that seek these credits. The IRS has greatly improved there ability to cross check
data. Missing tax forms can and will delay your ability to file. Watch your mail and set all important tax forms aside so you will have them when you need them. If you have any tax questions give me a shout.

It's Tax Time.....FYI.....The IRS will start accepting e-filed returns on January 19 2016 and the deadline to file Federal returns will be April 18, 2016. Except Mass and Maine they have until the 19th due to Patriots Day.

Tax Tip: Make sure you and your dependent working child are on the same page when it comes to filing tax returns. If your child files ahead of you and claims him or herself on their return this could have a great impact on you and the ability to claim the available exemptions and various education credits. Not to mention a large delay in filing as the IRS would reject the later filed return........
