Well it is ALMOST that time of the year! The IRS is opening tax season Jan 24th; they have said to expect delays as they are still processing returns from last year. (When I tell you itās been unreal since Covid hit, itās been no joke). The same as every year, I have such a huge work load with Jan 31st deadlines for my faithful bookkeeping accounts, I will not begin preparing tax returns until Feb 01. I am working by appointments only, no walk-ins unless you are dropping off.
The best way to reach me is 912-231-3755; please allow several days or even up to a week to return your call, it is a very busy time! You can also email me at [email protected]. (This is the best way to have your questions answered).
Due to the rising costs of supplies and software, there will be a price increase this year. No matter how easy your return is to prepare, it does cost me money (now more money than ever) to prepare and file your return. Thank your President for this š. Also please note, I can no longer do free work this year. While you think itās free, it costs me money and inflation is just to high for me to pay to process peopleās work. Besides, Iām sure you arenāt paying your employer or customers to let you come to work!
I am NOT taking new clients this year! No matter who it is, I can NOT get to them until well after tax season is over and I promise you, no one is happy with that. This is because of the demand in my services since Covid hit. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Please do NOT show up with out the proper tax documents to file your return. Many people think that I am magical and can produce their documents with a few key strokes on my computer. I CAN NOT! I do not have a magic wand or a genieās lamp and the only miracle worker I know is God. So please be considerate of my time and others. If I have to file an amendment because someone was too inpatient to wait on their documents, I will be charging double for it.
It also appears that some people think I pack the filing cabinets and even the entire offc up with me each day and tuck them into bed so that when they call in the middle of the night I can just roll over and get what they need or want. NO! NO! NO! Some like to call and message late at night because thatās convenient for them while others are at 4, 5 and 6 am. Please refrain from this! I barely have time to eat or sleep during tax season and I will block these numbers this year.
I truly appreciate everyone of you and hope to never offend anyone, Iām just keeping it real. Please know that I am looking forward to a productive and successful tax season this year! And wishing all of you a prosperous and blessed year!!!
Truly,
Leslie Love
