The IRS has announced that due to the big backlog it will extend tax filing deadline until May 15, 2021. When filing your tax return, be prepared for longer wait times for processing.

PSA: There are many people that are checking the status of their stimulus check on the IRS website. You might see it states your check was deposited in an account that you don’t recognize.

Don’t get alarmed that your check has gone to someone else’s account. If you received an advance or paid your preparation fee through your refund, that account you see is that account from the tax bank that was used. You will probably get a paper check in the mail.
