Important Tax Topic -- If Congress doesn't extend the July 15 filing date, it's probably not a big deal as long as you file an extension which will be good until October 15. But remember that the extension is for time to file - not to pay. Therefore, if you're sure that you will owe for 2019, then send a check to cover the approximate amount with the extension. Also make your estimated income tax payment (April and June's) for 2020 by July 15. Don't wait until the last minute. File it in the next few days. You can E-file your extension and mail in a check. Thank goodness a substantial amount of our clients are not procrastinating and have already filed for 2019. And please be safe and smart - wishing you all well! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
