iProsper Bookkeeping is accepting new clients to file their 2022 tax return, Individuals (1040) and Businesses. 🙌🏾 💰

As of January 12th, businesses can e-file their 2022 return to the IRS. Individuals (1040) can start e-filing on January 23rd.

The IRS deadline for filing your tax return is Tuesday April 18th.

✍🏾 Please note, the deadline for filing your STATE tax return will vary by each state. Please contact your state comptroller's office or go to their website for more info.

Whether paying quarterly or once a year, businesses need to watch their spending since the taxes owed will come out the “earnings before tax.”

The last thing any business need is to not have money to pay for taxes…YIKES!! 😲

I recently had a conversation with a business owner who thought it was wise to increase the amount of their expenses, so their taxable income could be lower.…because they don’t want to pay a lot in taxes 😳😳

With this mindset, the business will never have a large profit. 🤦🏾‍♂️

I understand that nobody wants to pay a lot in taxes, or pay any at all, but paying taxes are inevitable. The IRS and your local state can only charge you a certain percentage for taxes, so yes the more you make, the more you may pay in taxes but the MORE YOU WILL PROFIT!! 🫰🏾

You CANNOT profit more by spending more. Be wise in your business spending habits and categorize your expense accordingly. Best of all, hire a bookkeeper and get these HIGH PROFITS!! 🙌🏾
