S1E4 — Stephen F. Austin State Park Ice Storm 2026 ❄️🏍️🌲

An unexpected ice storm moved through Stephen F. Austin State Park, changing the plan for this week’s episode.

Instead of a studio recording, I went live from inside the park—riding through ice-covered roads, checking for downed trees, observing wildlife, and documenting the stillness that follows a major winter storm. Along the way, I encountered hundreds of vultures grounded by ice on their wings, spotted storm damage, and had a brief conversation with the park superintendent about conditions and safety.

This episode isn’t scripted.
It’s real-time, observational, and grounded in the moment.

Sometimes the mission isn’t to explain or teach—it’s simply to show up, pay attention, and respect what’s happening right in front of us.
