Accidents happen, right? 🤷‍♀️

I see and hear so many bookkeepers and accountants judge small business owners for doing these things. The thing is, we are all human and all make mistakes, me included (I know, that’s hard to imagine, right?🤣)

It is more important to course correct rather than dwell on the mistake. If you used your biz card for personal expenses. It’s okay. Don’t make it a habit, and just be sure to categorize the transactions correctly.

You forgot to reconcile? Darn, you must have been super busy last month! Find some time this month to get caught up, and review your numbers.

You accidentally missed an estimated tax payment? Ouch, that is gonna hurt, but it will be okay!

See where I’m going? Focus on how you can correct your mistake and move forward.

Let this be your reminder to give yourself grace and just try the best you can. At the end of the day, that is the best you can do!

The 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁 that took effect on 1/01/24 was invalidated on December 3rd.

A 𝙁𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝘪𝘯 𝙏𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙨 ruled that the 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁 falls outside of Congress's powers to regulate interstate and foreign commerce and E̳X̳C̳E̳E̳D̳E̳D̳ Congress's commerce authority.

As a result, the law was I̲N̲V̲A̲L̲I̲D̲A̲T̲E̲D̲ less than one month before the reporting deadline for established businesses went into effect, with stiff daily penalties and potential jail time.

This preliminary block nationwide by Texas halts the need for 𝔹𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕆𝕨𝕟𝕖𝕣𝕤 to complete their 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙊𝙬𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝘉𝘖𝘐 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵) through 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝘾𝙀𝙉.
