The Sculptor galaxy just got a serious glow-up. Thanks to 50 hours of observation using the Very Large Telescope in Chile, astronomers have stitched together a breathtaking image of this nearby starburst galaxy, revealing it in thousands of colors.

We're talking purples, golds, and deep pinks radiating across 65,000 light-years. It’s not just beautiful—it’s science in action. Every hue tells us something about the age, movement, and makeup of the stars, dust, and gas inside.

Sculptor is close enough to study in detail, but vast enough to take your breath away.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is facing its biggest budget cut in history. A newly signed spending bill lowers the agency’s annual funding cap from 12% to 6.5% of the Federal Reserve’s operating budget—a nearly 46% reduction.

The CFPB has historically been a key enforcer of consumer protection laws, recovering over $21 billion for 205 million people since its founding. Critics worry that this cut could severely impact the bureau’s ability to supervise financial firms, respond to complaints, and pursue enforcement actions.

While the agency’s core responsibilities remain intact, its future capacity is in question, especially during future administrations.
