What is an annual report in Florida?

•An annual report must be filed each year for your business entity to maintain an “active status” with the Department of State. It is required, whether or not you need to make changes. The data displayed on the entity’s annual report is the most current data on file with the Division of Corporations.

•Annual reports for all corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships and limited liability limited partnerships are due each year between January 1 and May 1.

•File on time before the deadline on the Sunbiz website at dos.fl.gov

🗓️‼️Today-April 15 2024 is the federal due date for most taxpayers to file returns and pay levies — even with a tax extension, which pushes the filing deadline to Oct. 15. This deadline is midnight local time on Monday, April 15 of this year.
•IRS reminds Taxpayers that owe on their tax return, they can avoid paying interest and some penalties by filing their tax return and, if they have a balance due, paying the total amount due by the tax deadline of Monday, April 15.
•Failing to file your tax return by midnight on Tax Day could cost you a failure-to-file penalty, which is 5% of unpaid taxes for each month (or partial month) the tax return is late.
•If you are owed a tax refund, you don’t have to worry about this penalty.

Individuals unable to file their tax return by the tax deadline can apply for a tax-filing extension.
