Tax Season 2026 is a wrap! We had an astonishingly great team this year, and I’m so pleased to announce that in the past 12 weeks we’ve issued 50% of our tax work for the year!!! This is no small feat for a firm that values Accuracy over Speed. After a rest and rejuvenation, Bolz CPA will be opening and available for our Strategic Consultation season. Need advice? Contact us! It’s opening day! Not for baseball, yet, but for Tax Season! The IRS and some states opened for e-filing today. Other states, Colorado included, have not yet announced their opening day, though last year it was a very late start on February 20 for individuals, and not until March 7 for businesses. We are always so honored when kind people in our community recognize the long hours we are working, and bring a boost to encourage us along. Whether it’s a kind word of encouragement or gifts to perk up our long hours, the smallest gesture is so big at this time of year. In the past 2 days we’ve received hugs, beautiful blue hyacinths, and ready to eat shrimp and grits - which I’ve got to say - this Cajun fare is not only better than expected, it’s amazingly good!!! Happy Pi Day!
For those who don’t know, March 14 (3/14) (3.14) is commonly referred to as Pi Day (3.14159). It has no real correlation, it’s just a great reason to eat pie! And we are so blessed to be friends with a couple AWESOME CPAs in Minnesota who own and had these delicious delivered to us in Colorado! We are supplementing our gratitude with a song about Pie by who grew up not far from our friends’ business. So grab a fork, crank up your favorite pie music, and have a tasty bite of pie today. And if you have a business tax return to file, remember that s-corporation and partnership / LLC tax returns (multi-member) are due on Monday March 17! We will be filing extensions this weekend, with mouths full of pie, as I’m sure our friends in Minnesota are doing as well. Sorry-not-sorry if I drop an apple slice on your papers. Most people are celebrating Valentine’s Day today (and we do too!) but here are Bolz CPA we are most excited that today marks the official date of E-Filing Season! While the IRS and many states opened on January 27, Colorado has a late February 14 open date! We will be busy today sending off all the tax returns we have produced to date this year.
